Not too long ago, one of the greatest writers of science fiction and fantasy said the following:

Right now, I think we need writers who know the difference between the production of a market commodity and the practice of an art.

These are the words of Ursula Le Guin, and when we heard them, the idea that would become Stubborn Raven was born.

We want to create an environment where science fiction and fantasy writers can publish their work in the way it was meant to be read, and where readers can get awesome works of science fiction and fantasy – simple as that.

Welcome Readers!

Stories can’t do their thing if nobody reads them. At Stubborn Raven we want to create an awesome space for writers of speculative fiction to write the stories they want to write, as well as getting these stories to our readers in the best ways possible. This means focusing on the following distribution methods:

Digital

We believe in making great stories as accessible as possible to all readers, which means that we will be relying on digital marketplaces like Amazon (and others) to distribute our sci-fi and fantasy writers’ works.

We also know that some readers cannot or don’t want to access books on these platforms, which is why we are looking at creating an eStore to give you direct access to our writers’ amazing stories straight from the source.

The only way we can do this, is if you let us know what you want, and that means following us on social media and/or signing up for our newsletter.

Print

We love doing print runs, and being an indie publisher means we can do them exactly as the writer and audience wants. We will communicate when we are planning to get a print run off the ground through our normal channels, and take things from there.
